U.S.
Ambassador to the Philippines Harry K. Thomas, Jr. delivers an inspirational
message
Twenty-nine American Corners (AC) staff
from all over the Philippines gathered June 19-21, 2013 in Manila to learn from
each other’s best practices and approaches. The conference aimed to enhance the
participants’ capabilities in managing American Corners and to keep up to date
with new technology tools.
In the three-day conference, presenters
discussed diverse topics on the global standards for American Spaces; explored
branding and marketing to reach wider audiences including the
differently-abled; and introduced the ‘EducationUSA’ services of the
Philippine-American Educational Foundation. Participants also had an
opportunity to practice using their respective tablets, digital cameras and
laptops to learn more about basic photography and new trends in electronic
resources and social media.
Cultural Affairs Officers Alan Holst welcomes
